2012日本早稻田大学联合学术研讨会选拔通知

        2011年学院选拔3位本科生参加了当年11月在日本早稻田大学举办的为期一周的学术研讨会,取得了良好的效果,今年,学年拟继续资助2名优秀本科生赴日参加2012年学术研讨会,地点仍在日本早稻田大学IPS研究院。

【选拔对象】信息科学与工程学院积极参与科研创新活动的在籍本科生

【选拔条件】能积极参加Poster交流活动,有较好的英语听说读写基础,能参与大会学术交流。此前积极参加大学生学术科技创新活动,并取得一定成果。

【费用说明】与2011年一样,由学院资助大部分参会费用

2、教务员开具的正式本科阶段学习成绩单原件一份;
3、英语水平证明复印件一套(包括CET、雅思、托福、GRE、高/中口证书等)
4、个人学术科研成果复印件一套(竞赛获奖证书、专利证明、论文发表证明、课题结题证明等)
5、未公开发表的参会论文一篇(打印件)

                        Production: Management Engineering, Production Information System, Energy & Environment Engineering, Intelligent Control, Process Control, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Sensor system, MEMS, Functional Materials, Plant Maintenance, Equipment Diagnosis, etc

                        System LSI: Logic circuit acceleration, Cut-set based algorithm, FPGA-based prototyping, Pipeline circuit synthesis, Analog Circuit, Charge Pump, Flash Memory, Low Voltage, CMOS, Rectifier, Wireless, Computer vision, Real-time object tracking, Mean Shift, etc

Language:      The official language of the symposium is English.

Expected        Faculty members, researchers and/or students of Beijing Institute of

                        Technology, Beijing Normal University, Chinese Academy of Sciences,

Participants:   Chulalongkorn University, Dalian University of Technology, Fudan University, Gadjah Mada University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi, Kanpur), Jilin University, Nanjing University, National Taipei University of Technology, National University of Singapore, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Sichuan University, South China University of Technology, Southeast University, Thammasat University, Tongji University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, University of Malaya, Wuhan University, Xiamen University, Xi'an Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University (alphabetical order), and Waseda University IPS. All the students are to participate in a poster session.

Expenses:       In principal, the following will be covered or provided by IPS.

                        -  Round-trip air tickets (including airport tax, fuel surcharge, etc) between the nearest airport to each university and Fukuoka Airport;

                        -  Accommodation in Japan during the symposium (room rate only);

                        -  Two (2) meals per day (breakfast and lunch) in Japan during the symposium;

                        -  Transport necessary for the programmes of the symposium (eg. transport between the accommodation and IPS, etc).

Visa:               Although IPS will prepare an invitation letter, etc for each participant, it is totally the participant's responsibility to obtain an appropriate visa to enter Japan at the respective Japanese consular office prior to the symposium.

Day 2 of the Symposium

AM:  Poster session & demonstration session

Lunch

PM:   IPS laboratory tour

Reception (time and venue is to be announced later.)

Transport between the hotel and IPS is arranged by IPS.

Stay in Kitakyushu.

Friday

16th November, 2012

AM:  Factory visit (time and place is to be announced later.)

Lunch

PM:   Move to Fukuoka

         Free

Necessary transport is arranged by IPS.

Stay in Fukuoka.

Overseas participants leave Japan.
