一、类别简介
Our discipline is one of the first level disciplines authorized to offer doctorate degrees in China. It has been approved to be the national key discipline in 1984, relying on the two national key laboratories of wireless communications and millimeter waves.
The engineering area includes two first-level disciplines: Electronic Science and Technology, and Information and Communication Engineering, which cover seven second-level disciplines, including communication and information systems, signal and information processing, cyber security, electromagnetic field, circuits and systems, microelectronics and solid-state electronics, and physical electronics. The related engineering technologies include integrated circuit design and manufacture, communications and networks, electronic system design and manufacture, microwave and millimeter wave technologies and antenna, digital signal processing, and etc.
For the last ten years, our discipline has been nationwide leading in electronic science and technologies, and R&D of information and communications, and has undertaken a number of research grants, approved by national 863 program, national natural science foundation of China, national climbing key program, national defense program, and etc. Our discipline has published over 200 academic articles in important journals at home and abroad per year. In recent years, our discipline has been awarded the first prize for national scientific and technological invention, the second and third prizes for national progress in science and technology, and dozens of national awards for excellence in teaching and text books, and has made great contributions for the development of electronic and information technologies in China. Meanwhile, our discipline has built up long-term collaborations with international research organizations and corporations, and our research achievements are playing a more and more important role in the world.

七、开题报告
Follow the Principles and Requirements for Postgraduate Thesis Selection and Proposal Report of Southeast University.
八、中期考核
It is implemented in accordance with the Mid-term Assessment and Screening Measures for Postgraduate Students of Southeast University.
九、学位论文
(1) Literature reading
Read at least 50 literatures within the scope of the thesis topic and research direction , including more than 30 foreign literatures , and complete a review.
(2) Writing the thesis
In addition to complying with school regulations, the dissertation must be a systematic and complete academic dissertation, requiring clear concepts, correct arguments, rigorous exposition, correct calculations, reliable data, clear layers, concise and fluent writing, and clear icons.
(3) Academic level of the thesis
On the basis of investigation and research, the dissertation should choose a topic that has a certain academic research significance or engineering application value, and has a certain significance for the development of the national economy. The time to carry out scientific research work around the thesis is not less than 1 year.
(4) Requirements for results
The requirements for the postgraduate achievement evaluation shall be implemented according to the requirements of the corresponding degree evaluation sub-committee.
Graduate students of this major category applying for the dual master’s degree in East Mongolia should meet the requirements for master’s degree conferring from Southeast University and Monash University at the same time.
备注:
1. The minimum credits for full-time engineering master students are 26, including minimum 16 credits for degree courses. In addition, the students must complete 2 credits in compulsory courses. 2. All the courses should be finished by the students in one year and a half, and in principle, the degree courses should be finished in one year. 3. The syllabus of the degree courses follows this table. For a complete list of the non-degree courses, please refer to “Postgraduate Course Catalog”.
