讲座内容介绍：

       本讲座从探讨英国历史上发生的重大事件入手，发掘其深远的历史意义及对现代英国地位和文化的影响。本讲座将涉及以下系列话题：The Tudors and the Reformation（都铎时代和宗教改革）, the 'Glorious Revolution'（“光荣革命”时期）, the age of Empire and Naval power in Britain（帝国时代和英国皇家海军）, the Industrial Revolution（工业革命时期）, the First and Second World Wars（第一、第二次世界大战时期） and finally the Welfare State and societal changes from the 1960s onwards（福利国家和20世纪60年代以后的社会变革）.
